St. Paul Campus Strategic Facilities Plan

About the St. Paul Campus Strategic Facilities Plan

The St. Paul campus optimizes its land grant mission in an urban setting, organized around place-specific subject areas of food, agriculture, environment, and education. The Strategic Facilities Plan will chart a course for the campus to be financially, academically and physically sustainable. Implementing the plan will take coordinated efforts, including the Six Year Capital Plan and other capital strategies, and alignment of collegiate and administrative priorities. The concepts represented in the framework plan can be summarized as follows:

  • Direct capital renewal in buildings, preservation of research lands.
  • Make campus life investments: Student Center and Learning Commons, residential options.
  • Renovate landscapes to connect destinations, demonstrate research, invite community experience, build campus identity.
  • Pursue partnership development to advance research and further enhance campus life and activity.
