Capital Project Management Responsibility
Capital Project Management (CPM) has system-wide responsibility for design and construction of capital improvement projects including new and existing buildings, furnishings and equipment, and utility infrastructure for all campuses, properties, and facilities
of the University of Minnesota.
We endeavor to be good stewards of the University’s assets, to ensure consistency of projects, and to combine the best elements of the University’s history and current strengths. Within UServices, we work to create and sustain the physical environments that
advance teaching, research, and outreach of the University of Minnesota.
The design team coordinates system-wide campus architecture and interiors and works inclusively with internal and external project teams. CPM Design advocates a University point of view toward campus design, integrating need, budget, and architectural quality.
The Construction Team manages and coordinates project construction. Construction managers collaborate with University and external partners to prepare and execute contracts and promote safety and excellence; ensuring projects are delivered within designed scope, schedule and budget.
