The building’s infrastructure is original and due for renewal to provide reliable infrastructure for research, teaching, and outreach mission for decades ahead. Due to current building deficiencies, infrastructure improvements are needed to meet the current Building Code and University's standards for safety, accessibility, energy efficiency, and comfort.The 82,805 SF infrastructure renewal Project will include mechanical and electrical system replacement, fire suppression, new ceilings and lighting throughout, fully renovated accessible restrooms, elevator or lift at accessible main entrance, limited masonry repairs, and a full window and roof replacement.
