In collaboration with Hennepin County and the Metropolitan Council, the University of Minnesota is designing and constructing enhancements to the pedestrian enclosure and suicide deterrent measures on the Washington Avenue Bridge. Connecting the Twin Cities East and West banks, the project features an upgraded railing system, enhanced integrated lighting, modern surveillance, updated signage, and related site and utility improvements.
